Bleach is Nirvana’s debut album. The album has songs based on the life spent in Aberdeen by the leader and lyricist of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain. Nirvana and its head Kurt Cobain have generated immense following of hardcore fans around the globe. Even though Bleach is not considered one of the top albums of Nirvana, it surely is special for Nirvana fans. This album is the inception of the band in the history of music.

The lyrics were written like a night before the recording which made Kurt Cobain really angry and mad. This is evident in some of the songs of the album. Nirvana has created such a huge fan base because the fans can empathize with the anger and frustration that Nirvana has been able to express in their songs. Bleach is also a title that Kurt Cobain came across, the working title of the album was “Too many Humans”.

Even though Bleach has acquired applause from the critics, the music label did not do enough promotions and the album could not fare well in terms of sales. It was only after the release and high success of Nirvana’s second album, “Nevermind” that the music label decided to re-release Bleach and do a little bit of promotions. The Bleach acquired a steady rise in sales through the years to eventually secure Platinum rating in the U.S.

Even though Bleach is one of the highly searched and sought after albums of Nirvana on the web, the availability of its vinyl LPs and CDs is scarce because of less production.
