DUAL CS 529 Fully Automatic Belt-Drive Turntable

The DUAL CS 529 is a high-end fully automatic belt-drive turntable designed to combine convenient operation with high-quality analogue playback. It features a precision aluminium die-cast platter, a twin-gimbal tonearm with four precision ball bearings, optical motor speed control and a factory-installed Ortofon 2M Red MM cartridge. Bluetooth connectivity enables both wireless audio transmission and remote control from compatible devices.

Drive System

The CS 529 uses a regulated DC belt-drive system. Optical speed sensing at the motor continuously monitors rotational speed, while the precision-cut belt is designed to provide consistent platter rotation with low wow and flutter.

Platter

The turntable uses a precision aluminium die-cast platter with a heavy 2.5 mm rubber mat. The platter incorporates a hardened steel spindle running in a brass bushing to provide stable rotation and effective resonance control.

Twin-Gimbal Tonearm

The CS 529 incorporates a twin-gimbal tonearm constructed from aluminium and supported by four precision ball bearings. The statically balanced tonearm provides accurate cartridge tracking while its removable headshell allows convenient cartridge replacement or upgrade.

Ortofon 2M Red Cartridge

The CS 529 comes with an Ortofon 2M Red MM cartridge factory-installed. The cartridge is mounted on the removable headshell and is matched to the tonearm for straightforward setup and reliable tracking.

Fully Automatic Operation

The CS 529 can operate completely automatically, allowing the tonearm to move into position, lower onto the record and return at the end of playback. Manual operation is also available for users who prefer direct control over the tonearm.

Automatic functions can also be controlled remotely through the turntable's Bluetooth connection, providing convenient operation without requiring direct access to the controls on the unit.

Bluetooth Connectivity

The integrated Bluetooth 5.2 system provides wireless audio transmission from the turntable to compatible Bluetooth equipment. Bluetooth is also used for remote-control functionality, allowing compatible smartphones or tablets to interact with the turntable.

Analogue Connectivity

The CS 529 provides an RCA analogue connection and can be connected either to a dedicated PHONO input or to a LINE-level input, depending on the selected configuration. This allows integration with traditional stereo amplifiers as well as systems using line-level inputs.

Plinth & Vibration Control

The CS 529 uses an MDF plinth with subchassis construction and rubber dampers. The motor is mounted with vibration-decoupling elements, while the large elastomer feet help isolate the turntable from external vibration. The surface is available in a black vinyl veneer, with walnut wood veneer offered as an alternative finish.
