The Focal Pro Alpha 80 Evo is a powerful active 2-way professional studio monitor designed for mixing, mastering, recording, broadcast and other critical monitoring applications. It combines an 8-inch Slatefiber woofer with a 1-inch aluminium inverted-dome tweeter, dual Class-D amplification and a bass-reflex enclosure. With a frequency response of 38Hz–22kHz, maximum SPL of 106dB and balanced XLR/TRS plus unbalanced RCA connectivity, the Alpha 80 Evo is particularly suited to monitoring situations requiring higher sound levels, extended bass response and accurate dynamic reproduction.

The Focal Pro Alpha 80 Evo is an active studio monitor with its amplification built directly into the cabinet, so no external power amplifier is required. A professional audio interface, monitor controller, mixer, preamplifier or DAC with variable analogue output can connect directly through balanced XLR or TRS, while the RCA input accommodates compatible unbalanced sources. For conventional stereo monitoring, two Alpha 80 Evo monitors are required, with one monitor receiving the left-channel signal and the other receiving the right-channel signal. The adjustable LF and HF shelving controls allow each monitor to be adapted to room acoustics and placement, while the 8-inch Slatefiber woofer and 38Hz low-frequency extension make the Alpha 80 Evo particularly suitable where stronger bass extension and higher monitoring levels are required.
