The Focal Pro Alpha Twin Evo is an active 2.5-way professional studio monitor designed for recording, mixing, mastering, broadcast and critical monitoring applications. Its horizontal configuration combines two 6.5-inch Slatefiber drivers with a 1-inch aluminium inverted-dome tweeter, while dedicated Class-D amplification provides 130W of total power. With a frequency response of 38Hz–22kHz, maximum SPL of 108dB and balanced XLR/TRS plus unbalanced RCA connectivity, the Alpha Twin Evo provides high output capability, neutral tonal balance, precise imaging and wide dispersion for demanding studio environments.

System Integration

The Focal Pro Alpha Twin Evo is an active studio monitor, so no external power amplifier is required. A professional audio interface, mixer, monitor controller, preamplifier or DAC with variable analogue output can connect directly through balanced XLR or TRS, while the RCA input supports compatible unbalanced sources. For stereo monitoring, two Alpha Twin Evo monitors are required. The monitors are designed for horizontal placement, and the rear-panel midrange selector determines which 6.5-inch driver handles the midrange frequencies. Focal recommends positioning the active midrange driver toward the inside of the stereo pair: the right driver for the left monitor and the left driver for the right monitor.
