MoFi Electronics MasterDeck + UG with UltraGold MC
The MoFi Electronics MasterDeck + UG combines the reference-grade MasterDeck turntable with the MoFi UltraGold MC moving-coil cartridge. Designed by Allen Perkins, the MasterDeck features three-speed belt-drive operation, optical motor regulation, a 1.75-inch aluminium/Delrin hybrid platter, an encapsulated Spiral Groove inverted bearing and a 10-inch dual-pivot carbon-fibre tonearm. The factory-specified UltraGold MC adds a nude Shibata stylus, boron cantilever and low-output dual-moving-coil generator for high-resolution analogue playback. The MasterDeck is available in Walnut and Black Ash finishes.

The MasterDeck's dual-pivot tonearm combines the characteristics of unipivot and gimbal designs to provide controlled, low-friction tracking. Its removable headshell and comprehensive adjustment system allow the UltraGold MC to be accurately aligned for the turntable's geometry.

UltraGold MC Cartridge
The MoFi UltraGold MC is a low-output dual-moving-coil stereo cartridge developed with Spiral Groove founder Allen Perkins and precision-crafted in Japan. It uses a nude Shibata stylus mounted to a boron cantilever, with a neodymium magnet, permendur yoke and PCOCC copper coils. The aluminium body incorporates threaded mounting inserts for straightforward installation.

The UltraGold MC weighs 7.3 g, placing it comfortably within the MasterDeck tonearm's specified 5–14 g cartridge range. Its 0.4 mV output identifies it as a low-output MC cartridge and therefore requires a suitable MC phono input or phono stage with appropriate gain and loading. The recommended load is 100 Ohms or higher.

Isolation & Mechanical Design
The MasterDeck uses HRS isolation feet engineered to provide 5.5 degrees of freedom, helping isolate the record-playing mechanism from environmental vibration and acoustic feedback. The high-mass hybrid platter and encapsulated Spiral Groove bearing provide the mechanical foundation for stable rotation.
