James Fox and Mick Jagger star in this drama directed by Nicolas Roeg and Donald Cammell. Violent gangster Chas (Fox) needs somewhere to lay low after angering his boss and so he talks his way into the rented room of a musician who has gone away on tour. There in the house he meets rockstar Turner (Jagger) and his girlfriends Pherber (Anita Pallenberg) and Lucy (Michèle Breton).
Hoping to disguise himself and leave the country using a forged passport, he is forced to wait. At first, he is unimpressed with Turner, but they soon begin to influence each other, and Chas starts experimenting with his clothing and identity until his past catches up with him. The cast also includes Johnny Shannon and Anthony Valentine.
