The Spendor DS1 is a sophisticated 2-way surface loudspeaker engineered to deliver remarkable sound quality from a slim, space-saving design. Despite its compact form factor, the DS1 produces a room-filling sound with excellent resolution, natural tonal balance, and impressive low-frequency authority — making it ideal where traditional floorstanding or bookshelf speakers are not practical.
At its core is Spendor’s proprietary 18cm EP77 polymer cone bass/mid driver paired with a 22mm LPZ polyamide dome tweeter. This combination delivers a smooth, detailed midrange and extended high frequencies, ensuring clarity and realism across music and dialogue. The sealed enclosure design provides tight, controlled bass while allowing flexible placement close to walls or in compact spaces.
The DS1 features a rigid, asymmetrically braced cabinet with Dynamic Damping technology to minimize resonance and preserve sonic accuracy. A dedicated wall-mount system securely fixes the speaker while decoupling it from the mounting surface, reducing vibration and enhancing overall performance.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, the DS1 is suitable for stereo setups as well as multi-channel configurations including surround and Dolby Atmos systems, offering flexibility and performance in both music and home theatre applications.
