How long have you been collecting records for?
Been listening to music for the last 50 odd years - started age 9 when i first heard the Stones - Beggars Banquet n the Beatles - White album on my father's cassette tape recorder ... still listen to those timeless classics to date ... Started collecting records with my pocket money from school/college days in the period 1975-83 when vinyls were priced at Rs 42.90 . Managed to build a collection of about a 100 LPs . Switched to cassettes - and later CDs till very recently (Jan 2017) when I got bitten by the vinyl bug again ! Started by buying reissues and have now started focussing on picking up original used pressings from sundry collectors .

Since I became a vinyl "reconvert" very recently - I just hooked up my AudioTechnica ATLP 5 thru a Pro-Ject Phonobox S preamp to my Lifestyle Series III Bose system . Works fine till i get me an upgrade !
Any advice to people that are about to start their collection?
Go for the music you love and original pressings whenever you get the chance.
