MoFi Electronics StudioDeck – Audiophile Belt-Drive Turntable
The MoFi Electronics StudioDeck is an audiophile-grade belt-drive turntable developed to deliver highly accurate, low-noise vinyl playback with a focus on faithful reproduction of the source. Designed in collaboration with turntable and tonearm designer Allen Perkins of Spiral Groove, the StudioDeck combines an isolated 300 RPM AC synchronous motor, a 3/4-inch Delrin platter, a 10-inch Studio Tonearm and anti-vibration feet developed with Harmonic Resolution Systems (HRS). Its carefully controlled mechanical design is intended to minimise unwanted vibration and resonance between the motor, platter, tonearm and cartridge. :

Studio Tonearm
The StudioDeck uses a 10-inch straight aluminium Studio Tonearm with a gimbaled bearing design. Its geometry is designed to provide stable cartridge tracking while allowing compatibility with cartridges within the specified weight range. The tonearm has an 18 mm overhang and an adjustable offset angle.

Motor & Drive System
The StudioDeck uses an isolated 300 RPM AC synchronous motor. The motor is mechanically separated from the main platter and tonearm structure to reduce the transfer of unwanted motor vibration into the stylus/record interface. The belt-drive system supports 33⅓ and 45 RPM playback.

Delrin Platter
The StudioDeck uses a 3/4-inch Delrin platter weighing approximately 3.88 lb. Delrin is used as the platter material to provide a stable, low-resonance interface for vinyl records. The platter forms part of the turntable's overall mechanical approach to controlling unwanted vibration and resonance.

Inverted Bearing System
The StudioDeck incorporates a steel inverted bearing system using a combination of steel, bronze and Teflon. The low-tolerance bearing assembly is designed to provide smooth and quiet rotational stability while supporting the platter during playback.
Anti-Vibration Feet
The StudioDeck uses anti-vibration feet developed in conjunction with Harmonic Resolution Systems. The feet are designed to isolate the turntable from external vibration that could otherwise reach the stylus and introduce unwanted coloration or distortion into playback.

Cartridge Compatibility
The StudioDeck tonearm is specified for cartridges weighing between 5 g and 10 g. The turntable itself should therefore be paired with a cartridge that falls within this specified range, while the cartridge's compliance and tracking requirements should also be considered when building the complete analogue system.

Phono Stage & System Connection
The StudioDeck is a dedicated analogue turntable and does not incorporate a built-in phono preamplifier. A suitable external phono stage or an amplifier with an appropriate PHONO input is therefore required. The choice of phono stage should match the electrical requirements of the cartridge installed on the turntable.
