Description

Based on short stories by Maile Meloy, the film follows the interwoven lives of several women in Montana as they navigate their personal struggles. Lawyer Laura Wells (Dern) is persistently harassed by a dissatisfied client who refuses to accept the terms of his workplace accident settlement. Meanwhile, Gina (Williams) and her husband Ryan (James Le Gros) return from a camping trip, but Gina finds herself seeking purpose in a new project—building a retreat from salvaged materials. Elsewhere, a lonely rancher (Lily Gladstone) develops a connection with young lawyer Beth Travis (Stewart) after wandering into her class. The film delicately captures the emotional depth and complexities of these women's lives.
