Amy Irving and Peter Riegert star in this romantic comedy directed by Joan Micklin Silver. Isabelle (Irving) works at a book shop in New York but although she is professionally fulfilled, her love life is lacking. She meets author Anton Maes (Jeroen Krabbé) and is drawn to him despite his arrogant demeanor but in the meantime, her Bubbie (Reizl Bozyk) arranges a date for her with Sam (Riegert), who owns a pickle stand.
As Isabelle contemplates her future, will she finally find happiness?
