Aditya Sambhare is an Indian independent watchmaker known for his deep involvement in vintage horology and hands-on craftsmanship. Originally trained as an architect, he transitioned into watchmaking through self-learning, using early internet forums and practical experimentation to develop his skills.  

His watchmaking is rooted in restoration, modification, and reinterpretation of classic mechanical watches across different production eras. Sambhare is particularly recognised for his intricate skeletonised dials, where parts of the watch face are removed to reveal the movement beneath, turning the mechanism itself into the visual centerpiece.  

His approach to watchmaking is philosophical. He treats each watch as an object with narrative value—something that carries history, identity, and personal meaning. His process emphasises careful diagnosis and precision over quick fixes, reflecting a shift from traditional repair culture to a more considered, craft-driven practice.
