The Favre-Leuba Duomatic HF 36000 is one of the brand’s most recognisable 1970s designs, built around a distinctive “TV screen” case and a high-frequency movement beating at 36,000 vibrations per hour. The higher beat rate gave the watch a smoother seconds sweep and improved timekeeping stability—an innovation Favre-Leuba became known for in this era.

The wide rectangular case, curved edges, and integrated lugs give it the unmistakable 70s silhouette collectors look for. Combined with its sunburst dial, applied indices, and a clean day-date display, the watch has a strong retro character while remaining surprisingly wearable today. As one of Switzerland’s oldest maisons, Favre-Leuba produced the HF line to showcase both design ambition and mechanical precision.

A thoughtful pick for collectors seeking 1970s high-frequency movements, bold case geometry, and authentic Swiss vintage in its purest form.
