Shanling ET3 is powered by the high-performance dual-core Ingenic X2000 chip, built on the Xburst2 architecture, which delivers enhanced computing power and low-latency startup. The device also features the upscaling chip CT7302CL, enabling All to DSD and All to PCM conversion. Additionally, the Philips SAA7824 CD Drive ensures a stable and reliable performance for the device.
Shanling ET3 is a unique CD player that offers rare support for MQA-CD. It can perform MQA Core unfolding and MQA decoding when connected to an I²S decoding device. Additionally, ET3 supports MQA Full Decoder, allowing independent expansion of MQA-CD and MQA files. As a CD turntable, it offers multiple digital output interfaces, with USB supporting up to 768kHz/32bit, DSD512; I²S output supporting up to 768kHz/32bit, DSD512; and Coaxial / Optical / AES output supporting up to PCM 192 kHz / 32bit, DSD 64.

The Shanling ET3 shares the same design as EC3, featuring a compact CNC-machined metal body, with dimensions of 18.8 x 25.5 x 6.8cm, making it smaller than A4 paper. The CD player has an open-cover design and utilises elegant black and grey tempered glass for its CD cover, adding to its light and sophisticated appearance. On the front, there is a 320*290 LCD full-view display with a simple user interface design.
