Description

Richard Pryor co-writes, directs, and stars in this biographical comedy-drama. After setting himself on fire while high on cocaine, stand-up comedian Jo Jo Dancer (Pryor) lies comatose in a hospital bed. As his spirit observes his body, he recalls his childhood and all the obstacles he overcame to become a comedian.

However, success came hand in hand with drug use and destructive behavior. If he regains consciousness, will he finally be able to break the cycle? The cast also includes Paula Kelly, Art Evans, and Billy Eckstine.
