This configuration is specified with a Dynavector 10X5 and a Rega Ania Pro MC cartridge. Rega Ania Pro MC Cartridge

The Rega Ania Pro is a low-output moving coil cartridge designed to extract detailed information from the record groove. It uses a Vital-profile nude diamond stylus, tapered aluminium cantilever, hand-wound micro-coil and high-powered neodymium magnet. Rega specifically identifies the Ania Pro as a suitable factory-fitted option for the Planar 6.

Dynavector 10X5

The Dynavector 10X5 is a high-output moving coil cartridge. Dynavector specifies a 2.5 mV output, aluminium cantilever, elliptical stylus and 150-ohm impedance. The 10X5 is a discontinued model, so the exact cartridge supplied with this product should be verified before publishing the listing.

RB330 Precision Tonearm

The RB330 is Rega's hand-assembled precision tonearm. Its high-precision bearing assemblies and rigid tonearm tube are designed to provide stable, low-friction movement and accurate cartridge tracking.

Neo PSU & Motor Control

The supplied Neo PSU provides electronic speed selection, advanced anti-vibration motor control and electronic fine speed adjustment. The Planar 6 uses a hand-matched 24 V low-noise motor and Neo power supply combination.

Plinth & Double-Brace Construction

The Planar 6 uses an ultra-lightweight Tancast 8 foam-core plinth with HPL laminates. Rega's double-brace construction reinforces the critical areas between the tonearm and main bearing while retaining the lightweight design of the turntable.

Dual-Layer Glass Platter

The Planar 6 incorporates a 16 mm dual-layer float-glass platter, providing a rigid record-supporting surface while complementing the turntable's low-mass construction.

Reference EBLT Drive Belt

The Reference EBLT drive belt is supplied as standard and forms part of the Planar 6's precision belt-drive system.

Phono Pre-Amplifier Required

The Planar 6 does not include a built-in phono stage. Rega specifies that the tonearm phono leads must be connected to a suitable phono stage, with the appropriate MM or MC stage selected according to the cartridge being used. The Ania Pro is a low-output MC cartridge and requires a suitable MC phono stage.
