The SME Synergy Mk2 Diamond is a premium integrated high-end turntable combining SME's precision-engineered Model 12 platform with the dedicated Synergy tonearm, factory-fitted moving-coil cartridge and integrated phono stage. The Diamond version adds an exclusive precision-machined finish and distinctive black detailing while retaining the advanced mechanical and electronic architecture of the Synergy Mk2.

Diamond Series Design

The Diamond version adds a distinctive precision-machined treatment to the Synergy Mk2 platform. The Black finish combines the clean machined surfaces with contrasting dark detailing, giving the turntable a distinctive appearance while retaining the structural and mechanical characteristics of the standard Synergy Mk2.

Precision Chassis & Suspension

The turntable uses a substantial CNC-machined aluminium chassis and sub-chassis designed to provide a rigid foundation for the platter, drive system and tonearm. An isolated suspension system helps control mechanical energy, while four adjustable feet provide accurate levelling and mechanical decoupling from the supporting surface.

Precision Platter & Main Bearing

A substantial precision-machined aluminium platter provides a stable rotational platform. The platter weighs more than 4.6 kg and incorporates an iso-damped, diamond-turned surface. It is supported by a precision main bearing using a high-chrome tool-steel spindle and individually fitted bearing components.

Synergy Tonearm

The dedicated Synergy tonearm is based on the SME Series IV design and is engineered for precise cartridge tracking and controlled resonance. The tonearm uses a pressure die-cast magnesium arm tube and is factory integrated with the supplied cartridge and phono stage.

Ortofon MC Windfeld Ti Cartridge

The Synergy Mk2 Diamond is supplied with a factory-fitted Ortofon MC Windfeld Ti moving-coil cartridge. The cartridge is integrated into the tonearm configuration, providing a ready-to-use high-end analogue front end without requiring separate cartridge installation and alignment.

Integrated NAGRA Phono Stage

A dedicated NAGRA-designed phono stage is built into the Synergy Mk2 Diamond. It allows the turntable to connect directly to a suitable line-level amplifier without requiring a separate external phono preamplifier.

Crystal Cable Signal Path

Premium Crystal Cable is used for the internal tonearm wiring. The wiring forms part of the factory-integrated signal path from the cartridge to the built-in phono stage.

Bi-Phase AC Drive System

The turntable uses a custom bi-phase AC synchronous motor controlled by a dedicated electronic system. The motor drive is precisely regulated to maintain stable platter rotation at the selected playback speed.

Speed Control & Power Units

The Synergy Mk2 Diamond uses separate electronic control and power units. The dedicated Speed Control Unit manages platter speed and fine adjustment, while the external Power Unit houses the mains transformer away from the main turntable and sensitive analogue signal path.
