Technics SL1210 Mk2, with a Sumiko Pearl cartridge, powered by a Project Tube Box DS2 preamp. Project Debut Carbon with the stock Ortofon Red 2M Both TT's are mated to a Marantz 1609 7.2 channel receiver with Klipsch reference speakers For my 2-n-a-half-year old daughter - Audio Technica AT60 mated to a Polk Audio soundbar
5. Any advice to people that are about to start their collection? *
Don't get in. Once you do, you will never want to come out, you will never want to listen to digital music, and you will be stuck forever in the warm soothing sound of phonographs. Records are an expensive hobby, albeit a rewarding one, and there is no ceiling to how much you can upgrade to. Stylus, tonearm, wiring, players, preamps, DAC's, the list is never ending...
