How did you first get into collecting records?
My father had a large record collection. I grew up with vinyls. Down the line we switched to cassettes and then CDs. I resumed my vinyl journey post-Covid. Have been making regular purchases from TRC.
What’s your turntable setup like?
Denon DP-300F with Ortofon 2M Blue, iFi Zen Phono, Denon AVR-S660H, Cambridge Audio CX 60
What’s your best advice for people starting their vinyl journey?
Vinyl Enthusiast Starter Packs from TRC are a great way to start. Build your collection first; source quality matters - make sure that you have well recorded and well mastered records. Try to have some High Dynamic Range titles (jazz, western classical) to evaluate your system quality. Focus on the music first. Focus on the gear only after you're absolutely sure that you're no longer satisfied with the output of your system and want to find out what better options exist out there
