Tell us your Vinyl Story
I’ve always been passionate about music, in my childhood I used to love playing the tabla and that drew my interest in orchestra and symphonies. My best friend’s grandfather had a gramophone and a great collection of vinyls. When music streaming started I realised that the same quality of music couldn’t be achieved when compared to vinyls. I also felt that the idea of enjoying an album, the way an artist wanted a listener to go through a flow of their music has gotten lost in this world of streaming which is why I love vinyls. My philosophy is to collect records which mean something to me or artists that represent a phase of my life.

It’s Frank Sinatra’s Strangers in the Night

I have a the starter pack thanks to you guys at Revolver Club - an AT-LP60X with Edifier R1280DB
Any advice to people that are about to start their collection?
There is a different kind of satisfaction of physically owning music which comes from having an attachment to the records you’re collecting. Don’t buy into the hype or start looking for value (rare records etc). The most valuable record is the one which symbolises or represents an important moment of your life.
