Tell us your Vinyl Story
I fell in love with PCRC more than any other artist I had heard of. My grandfather used to have a record collection that he disposed of and so there was always a childhood nostalgia that I felt towards vinyls. I purchased a couple vinyls to start with and eventually bought my AT LP60X with Edifiers. Since then, I look out for artists whose story, music and character I relate to. This even extends to filmmaker’s like Aditya Chopra, because of whom I bought the Befikre vinyl.
It’s a mindful process for me, where I’m listening to the work of an artist as he/she intended. I’m able to dedicatedly spend time and consciously listen to their music.
That’s why I love vinyls.

Which is the most valuable record in your collection?
I have both Peter Cat Recording Co vinyls signed by the whole band, they’re the most important records to me. I also have vintage Spanish vinyls purchased from Spain. Purchase value-wise, I spent around ₹6000 on Illinois’s by Sufjan Stevens.

Any advice to people that are about to start their collection?
Don’t restrict yourself from buying vinyls of artists you love just because you don’t currently own a record player.
