From way back in school, my Father and Uncle used to buy records back in the 50's in Assam and Meghalaya. We kept buying sounds we loved and grew up to bit by bit whenever we could afford it.

Vinyl has reclaimed its value over the years (as it should) and now its bittersweet but the fun of hunting for and "collecting vinyl" from old thrift stores has also become an expensive affair as has buying new ones. In today's digital streaming age where artists get very few returns from streams, i believe its a beautiful way to give back to the artist more directly by purchasing their music instead of simply streaming it, bit by bit :) There's no rush, build you collection over the years bit by bit and pass it down when its time.
