My grandmother, who grew up in Delhi in the 50s, first got into jazz music when a lot of the big American acts started touring India. She built up a collection over the years and after many many years, we found it in a filing cabinet. I bought a turntable, plugged it into an old NAD preamp we hadn't used in years and the rest is history.
