How long it has been since you are a record collector?Have been thinking about going back to vinyls for a long while but I finally took the plunge about a year back.
I picked up some vinyls from The Revolver Club and simultaneously bought a horrible player via Amazon :)
That’s when I first met Jude of the Revolver Club, he educated me on what will work for me for my home and the budget that goes with it.
How Large is your vinyl collection?
It’s not yet too large. But it’s on its way!
I’ve picked up some good vinyls from The Revolver club to begin with and on my recent visit to LA, I made it a point to visit different record stores to add to my collection.
Places such as the iconic ‘The Last Bookstore’ in downtown LA, Barnes & Noble at Glendale and Canterbury Record Shop at Pasadena

Which is the most valuable record in your collection?
Synchronicity by The Police!
Each song is a masterpiece.
I also wanted to pick up some of the most famous albums of all time and this led me to pick up Rumours by Fleetwood Mac, this was an album that I’d not heard at all and it turned out to be such a wonderful investment, another great album I picked up was IV by Led Zep.
I’ve also really loved Parachutes by Coldplay.
From the US I picked up Weird Scenes Inside The Goldmine by The Doors which was fab as well.
My 16 year old daughter has picked up Divide by Ed Sheran from the Revolver Club and Green Day, Greatest Hits from the US.
I’ve totally listened to Jude from The Revolver Club for his advise after my mishap with Amazon!
I now have a Rega RP 1 turntable with a Marantz PM 5005 amp and Polk bookshelf speakers.

Go for it! Invest in vinyls. They will last for generations and maybe one day, your children will thank you for the music.
