How did you first get into collecting records?
It started with listening to music on my dad’s record player when I was a kid. He’d make me sit through ABBA, tracks from Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, Grease, and, of course, a whole lot of commercial Bollywood music.
My own journey really began in 2024, when my friends gifted me a record player. Since then, I’ve been steadily building a collection, one record at a time.
What’s your turntable setup like?
I have the Audio technica LP-120X with a pair of JBL monitor speakers
What’s your best advice for people starting their vinyl journey?
Don’t buy all the fancy records at once. Of course, you should pick up the ones you absolutely love, but also try experimenting with different genres and music you haven’t really explored. For me, I unwind by listening to music I wouldn’t normally search for on YouTube or Spotify.
