Grew up listening to records right from my childhood, but moved to CDs in the 1990s. Started collecting records again in late 2000s. At one point was having a huge collection of 1000+ LPs and an almost equal number of EP records and vinyl singles. Had to sell many of them later due to space constraints in storing them. Right now I have only around 500+ titles in my collection and never stopped buying.

Be specific about what you buy. Never buy records that you are not going to listen. Initially when we start collecting, we will have that intention to buy everything that we come across but will regret later. While collecting vintage records, make sure the condition is good. In India all records are being sold as 'near mint' but it is true only in rare cases.
