I have a Denon DP-29F(from TRC) hooked into an old Sony MHC-RV60. The Sony music system is also sentimental because I fell in love with music by listening to albums on this system. I played a lot of albums on CDs and cassettes in my childhood and later connected my mp3 player to it in my teenage years.

Don't think I know enough to. I read somewhere that albums with covers that appeal to you are always good. I've found this to be true in my limited experience. I bought two albums like this - Coney Island by Herb Alpert, and The Goin's great by Sammy Davis Jr. They were low-rated but I fell in love with them. I like to buy an unknown album every time I buy a record that I like. Works well especially if the unknown one is cheap. Buy some records before you actually buy a TT. Makes that first session even more rewarding.
