Tariq Shafeeque

My father had a huge collection of records and that was my introduction to vinyl.
As I grew up I started listening to more music and started collecting albums that I liked.

How large is your collection and which is the most valuable album in your collection?
Right now I have around thousand records. Mostly consisting of retro Bollywood, Hindustani Classical and some western as well.
Sajda & Mohammed Rafi - Live, Round The World are my most favorite records.
Tell us about your turntable setup.
I grew up listening to budget turntables. However a chance encounter with a high end Japanese turntable led me to buy and restore a Technics SL 23. This led to a serious hobby of importing and restoring increasingly high end turntables.I would restore one and use it for a few months and then sell it and move on to the next project.
I finally reached a point where I wanted a turntable That I couldn't afford. But unlike the rest of us I decided to build one for myself. After two years of work and many failures I had turntable that pleased me.

Now I have developed a range of 3 spectacular turntables that I built and market under EBI Audio (Engineering Beyond Imagination).
