I always knew I had a bond with the music I listened to, some unexplainable line that would be drawn between the me and the music blessing my ears. But it always felt a bit transactional and not particularly personal. I listened to music and I felt the connection but it wasn't;t doing justice to the bond I had with it and that's where Vinyls came in. At first I did not see Records as the means to strengthen that bond but looked at it as a collector's item, something that would look good on the shelf but the moment I held my first record in me hands (Kid A), there was a spark, the faint line grew richer and bolder and grew even more bolder and richer when the stylus hit the groove for the first time and I heard those four downturn notes of "Everything In Its Right Place". It felt personal, it felt intimate and more importantly, it just felt right. From then on, I have never looked back, with the most recent record being "Music Has The Right To Children" by Boards of Canada.

To jump right in and I know its difficult to jump right in considering the steep costs and the air of constant maintenance but looking past those hurdles, you will find the most personal listening experience you could've ever thought about. Just imagine, its a dark overcast sky, with rain pouring down, your hall or your room has an empty air flowing about, you walk into that space with a record in hand, you place it and press play- the stylus hits the groove and the music starts to play, to take a seat back and watch over the rain, the music takes over and you enter a completely new dimension.
