Invest in a powerful amplifier. They are more important than speakers.
Always try and check sound quality of the records you're buying (if second hand). If you can't, then feed the number on the crimp online and check reviews on discogs or somewhere to see if it's a good sounding master. No point in buying scratched up/shitty sounding records. Although you cant always win of course...
