Overview

The Nagaoka MP-200 is a high-performance phono cartridge that brings many of the sonic strengths of the top-tier MP-500 to a more accessible level. With its fluid, organic sound signature, it excels in vocal and instrumental reproduction—offering a detailed yet engaging mid-range that is especially suited for jazz, classical, and acoustic recordings. Unlike many cartridges labeled as “warm,” the MP-200 delivers rich harmonics without sacrificing dynamics or clarity.

Based on Nagaoka’s moving permalloy principle, the MP-200 provides a lively yet balanced sonic presentation across the frequency spectrum. It is available in two configurations to suit different setup preferences:

• MP-200H: Pre-mounted in a Nagaoka headshell for easy installation

A stylus guard is included for safe transport and storage. Note: The MP-200H version does not include screws or a screwdriver, as it comes factory-mounted in the headshell.
