One of One Design & Finish

The One of One designation identifies this Model 60 as an individually specified special-finish version rather than a standard production colourway. Its presentation is intended to give the flagship turntable a distinctive visual identity while retaining the underlying Model 60 engineering platform.

The finish combines a rich metallic blue body colour with contrasting polished aluminium and black anodised detailing. The blue finish extends across the principal chassis surfaces, while the metallic and black elements provide contrast around the turntable structure, controls and hardware.

Chassis & Isolation

The Model 60 platform uses a substantial precision-engineered aluminium chassis designed to provide a rigid and acoustically controlled foundation for the platter, bearing and tonearm. The chassis and sub-chassis incorporate acoustic treatment, while four mechanically de-coupled adjustable feet provide multi-point isolation.

Suspension System

The intelligent suspended sub-chassis isolates the critical playback assembly from external mechanical interference. Independent vertical and horizontal suspension control helps maintain the required geometry between the platter and tonearm during playback.

Hydraulically Damped Main Bearing

The precision main bearing incorporates hydraulic damping to control unwanted mechanical energy around the bearing and rotating assembly, contributing to smooth platter rotation and a stable playback platform.

The SME Series VA tonearm is the factory-fitted tonearm for the Model 60. Its high-density polymer-resin construction is precision machined to provide a rigid and acoustically controlled structure, while Crystal Cable internal wiring maintains a high-quality analogue signal path.

Drive System & Speed Control

The Model 60 uses a custom bi-phase AC synchronous motor with a dedicated DSP-based Speed Control Unit. The electronically controlled drive system provides stable operation at 33⅓ and 45 RPM.

Separate Power & Control Units

The transformer and motor-control electronics are housed outside the main turntable assembly. The separate Power Unit contains the transformer, while the Speed Control Unit manages the motor and platter speed.

Connectivity

The Series VA tonearm connects to the Model 60 output section for use with an external phono stage and amplification system. RCA connectivity is standard, with balanced XLR connectivity available as an option.
