Description

The Royal Tenenbaums (2002), directed by Wes Anderson, is an Oscar-nominated comedy about an eccentric New York family of former child prodigies. The story follows the Tenenbaums, a dysfunctional family once famous for their impressive accomplishments: business mogul Chas (Ben Stiller), award-winning playwright Margot (Gwyneth Paltrow), and tennis champion Richie (Luke Wilson). After years of estrangement from his wife Etheline (Anjelica Huston), Royal Tenenbaum (Gene Hackman) returns to attempt reconciliation with his children, now adults dealing with their own personal struggles. With a past marked by lies and betrayal, Royal faces an uphill battle as his offspring must decide whether they can forgive him and come together as a family once more.
