MoFi Electronics UltraDeck Turntable – Without Cartridge

The MoFi Electronics UltraDeck is a high-performance belt-drive turntable engineered for accurate, low-resonance vinyl playback. It combines a 300 RPM AC synchronous motor, a 1.3-inch Delrin platter, constrained-layer damped plinth construction, a 10-inch Ultra tonearm and HRS-designed anti-vibration feet. This version is supplied without a cartridge, allowing the user to select a suitable MM or MC cartridge within the tonearm's specified weight range.

Drive & Speed System

The motor is mechanically isolated from the main turntable structure to limit the transmission of motor vibration to the platter and stylus. The stepped Delrin pulley provides separate positions for 33⅓ and 45 RPM operation.

1.3-Inch Delrin Platter

The high-mass Delrin platter is designed to provide stable rotational behaviour while its material properties create a favourable mechanical interface with vinyl records, helping control unwanted energy and noise.

Ultra Tonearm

The 10-inch MoFi Ultra tonearm uses a straight aluminium armtube with a gimbaled bearing system. Precision ball bearings provide low-friction movement in the vertical and horizontal planes. Cardas Audio internal wiring carries the cartridge signal from the headshell connections through to the gold-plated RCA outputs.

Cartridge Configuration

This UltraDeck configuration is supplied without a cartridge. The 5–10 g cartridge range allows the user to choose a compatible moving-magnet or moving-coil cartridge according to the desired system configuration and phono-stage requirements.

Constrained-Layer Damping

The UltraDeck's plinth uses a constrained-layer construction in which three aluminium plates are bonded to an MDF body. The additional mass and layered structure are designed to suppress unwanted resonance and reduce tonal coloration from the turntable itself.

Bearing & Isolation

A hardened-steel inverted bearing provides smooth and quiet platter rotation. Its low-tolerance construction combines steel, bronze and sapphire components. HRS-designed anti-vibration feet further isolate the turntable from external mechanical energy that could otherwise reach the stylus.

Performance Specifications

Phono Connection

The UltraDeck does not have a built-in phono preamplifier. A suitable external phono stage or an amplifier with the appropriate PHONO input is required. The phono stage should be selected according to the cartridge installed on the turntable.
