Walking Down The Magnat Lane - A Summary of The Brand's Milestones!

It is rare for an audio brand or range of products that surprise one as much as Magnat does. A melting pot of craftsmanship, knowledge and most importantly, experience, Magnat is nothing but a passion for sound- personified.

Founded in Germany in 1973, Magnat incorporates more than four decades of development experience and passion into its range of products. Today the brand is present in more than 50 countries Let’s take a look at milestone moments in the brand’s history.

This timeline not only makes the brand’s pedigree legendary; it also makes calling their sound simply exceptional, an understatement!

1978:

The Magnat Ribbon 10 becomes the most widely sold loudspeaker of its class. It included a range of technical in-house developments.

1990:

After becoming a part of the car audio scene with Car 5, Magnat introduces The Classic range of car amplifiers. The Classic 360 model attains undisputed cult status.

1996:

Magnat unveils its high-end Vintage 770 speaker - a shining jewel in terms of the speaker’s technology.

2001:

A unique product in Magnat’s history to this day, the Vintage 990 loudspeaker, set new standards in the industry. Elaborate and high-end, on brand for Magnat!

2003:

The powerhouse brand receives worldwide recognition for Omega 530 - a home audio subwoofer. It boasted a very large membrane surface area and acoustic pressure, breaking all deep bass records.

2007:

Here is where the RV1 took roots. A traditional tube amp, RV1 was Magnat’s commitment to retro values of the 60s and 70s.

2016:

After the Quantum Signature’s success, Magnat went wireless with the Magnasphere range - a Hi-Fi system that marries uncompromisingly good sound with high-quality audio streaming technology.

2020:

The Transpuls series not only has a look that is reminiscent of the glorious era of the 70s and 80s, but it also gives an update to yesteryear's technical ingredients which makes it a speaker that your parents always warned you about.

The compact Transpuls - a 3-way speaker with all of the ingredients for pure music enjoyment. The honest and down-to-earth appearance of the Transpuls 1000 also embodies the way in which it performs. 

The Magnat Transpuls 1500 is equipped with classic components of this loudspeaker category, but developed using modern development tools such as our Klippel® laser measuring system.
