Karan Joseph AKA MadFingers: One Of India's Finest Jazz Pianist

Karan Joseph was one of the most promising pianists and keyboard players in Mumbai. Also known as MadFingers in the Indie music circuit, Joseph was extremely skilled with his fingers and was acclaimed for his jazz improvisation.
A resident of Bangalore, Joseph had moved to Mumbai to make a career in the music industry. He graduated from the Berklee College of Music and played a range of genres – jazz, rock, and funk, with great aplomb. He always drew a huge crowd at his performances.
He performed with renowned artists like Soulmate, Randolph Correia, Adrian D’Souza, Gino Banks, and Vishal Dadlani, with his tour of Europe with The Ska Vengers being one of the highlights of his career.
Karan was working on a solo project, Madfingers, which included collaborations with DJ Uri, Andrea Tariang, Azamaan Hoyvoy, and Dhir Mody. He regularly performed with fellow musicians Rohan Mazumdar, Clayton Hogermeer, and Nathan Thomas at various venues all over Mumbai.
On 9th September 2017, Karan passed away at just 29 years of age. People who knew Joseph described him as warm, grounded, and extremely gifted. Joseph left this world too soon but left behind a legacy for many generations of musicians to come.
