RAPublic: Nep-hop roots behind Nepal's Prime Minister Elect Balen Shah
On a grainy YouTube video from the early 2010s, a young rapper steps into a Raw Barz cypher, trading sharp lines with rivals as the crowd leans closer. This rapper is Balen Shah, years before Kathmandu would elect him mayor and long before he would become Nepal’s next prime minister.
Shah first gained attention through Raw Barz, Nepal’s best known rap battle platform at the time. The series captured the growing Nep-hop movement through crowded rooms, improvised stages and viral YouTube uploads where rappers competed through wit, wordplay and social commentary. For many young Nepalis, these battles became a new language for discussing corruption, inequality and the frustrations of urban life.
The scene was already being shaped by one of its most influential figures, Yama Buddha, widely known as the King of Nep-Hop. His storytelling approach expanded the genre beyond battle rap and helped bring Nepali hip-hop into the mainstream. Songs such as Saathi spoke openly about friendship, addiction and the pressures facing urban youth, giving Nep-hop an emotional depth that resonated across the country.
Shah’s own music emerged from that same landscape. In Balidan he rapped about sacrifice and civic responsibility, presenting social change as something that demanded personal commitment. The track travelled widely online and gradually became associated with his public image. His songs captured the restless energy of Kathmandu’s streets, echoing the experiences of young listeners navigating ambition, uncertainty and city life.
By the time Shah entered electoral politics, he was already familiar to a generation raised on Nep-hop. His victory as Kathmandu’s mayor in 2022 reflected that connection. His election as Nepal’s prime minister extends the same story further, placing a former rap battle artist at the centre of the country’s leadership.
As Madhesi voices and Nep-hop continue to grow, what new rhythms and stories will shape the next chapter of Nepal’s hip-hop scene?

BITCOIN SCAM RECOVERY SOLUTIONS / ALPHA RECOVERY EXPERTS.
How do I Recover My Stolen Cryptocurrency Without Being Scammed Again?
I can’t stop thanking ALPHA RECOVERY EXPERTS for assisting me in recovering my lost bitcoin, which I had assumed was lost forever. I recently lost $318,000 to a cryptocurrency investment scam. The company posed as an investment firm that could provide a high percentage of profits if you deposited Bitcoin with them. At first, it appeared to be real; it worked twice. I had no idea they had set up a (robot) that would entirely shut down your account after you had opted to invest much. One day, while browsing the internet, I came across a story about how ALPHA RECOVERY EXPERTS assisted a family in recovering their lost investment from a fraud. Experiencing a similar problem. I chose to contact them. From our initial chat, it was evident that ALPHA RECOVERY EXPERTS had a genuine desire to aid fraud victims like myself. He began by reviewing my findings and then started the recovery process. It took the team 72 hours to locate and restore my stolen funds. I am incredibly appreciative for the recovery services he provided me.

Manuel Franco — 13 days ago
In March 2019, I was only 24 years old when my life changed in a way I never imagined. My Name is Manuel Franco, I became the winner of the incredible $768.4 million Powerball jackpot. Before that happened, I had received spiritual numbers from Chief Ade. At first I wasn’t sure what to think, but something inside me told me to trust the numbers. I followed the guidance, bought my ticket, and waited. When the winning numbers were announced, I checked my ticket again and again. I was completely shocked, I couldn’t believe that the numbers on my ticket matched the winning numbers, that moment changed everything for me. I went from being an ordinary 24-years old to becoming a multimillion dollar lottery winner overnight. I will never forget the role Chief Ade’s spiritual numbers played in my story. To this day, I still look back and ask myself how everything came together at exactly the right moment. Sometimes, life can surprise you in ways you never thought possible. I’m incredibly grateful to Dr. Benjamin for the guidance and encouragement he gave me during my lottery journey. I reached out to him after hearing about his work, explained my hopes of winning the Mega Millions jackpot, and decided to give it a try. He shared a set of numbers with me and encouraged me to remain positive and hopeful. I purchased my ticket using those numbers, and I was completely shocked when they matched the winning numbers. I won the Mega Millions jackpot of $50 million! It was an unforgettable moment that changed my life. I’ll always appreciate Dr. Benjamin’s support.
